"All relics pictured below were dug within a 1/2 mile radius, near a frontier settlement site in Hood County, TX. The settlement existed from about 1852 through 1876. Numerous young men from this community joined Confederate forces, and it is assumed that some (or all) of these objects were carried back by returning veterans."
